Walua Walking Trail, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Walua walking trail is not just for walking. This 6-mile paved path is great for bikers, and runners too. My dog loves the Walua Walking Trail! It’s 6 miles round trip and some areas wind through neighborhoods. The north end start of the trail is off Lako street in the subdivision of Kona Vista. Walua Walking Trail North Starting Location PATH has proved doggies starting as well though out the trail. Most all dogs are leashed and friendly. My dog prefers morning and evening times as the path can get got during the day. Central Bark? Did you know kona has an awesome dog park!?

Central Bark, Hawaii Island Humane Society, Dog Park, Kailua-Kona Hello! This is a great dog park right here in Kona, Hawaii. Well, about 7 min from downtown Kona. We have the Hawaii Humane Society to thanks for this safe area to bring our fur-babies to play! There are two fenced-in areas for your dogs to play at the Kona dog park. In the Big dog area, all dogs are welcome. The small dog park it’s preferred 25lbs and under. They have a water park fountain for the big dogs to play in. Both the Big dog and small dog areas are securely fenced with nice shelters for the humans to sit out of the sun while the fur-babies play in the sun. Although if you ask my dog she would rather be sitting on a lap, than playing with her dog friends.
